Merciless (man-eating) Maidens

A trio of merciless (man-eating) maidens deputized by the local government for the vague task of halting subversion. Who approves these methods? Why would these three be given free reign to snatch up suspects and disappear them into the night with no trial, no due process, just a whim of distaste? It was all quite nontraditional. The rumors didn’t stop there. It was unclear who would have lived to spread the tale, but it was commonly believed the three women had taken to sustaining themselves on the flesh of their fellow human. Even in a world so constantly slipping towards eternal ruin, the thought of eating each other was still a line too far for most.
